Elly Walsh

President

I’m a 3rd year PhD student in the Ben group. My research focuses on the synthesis and biological testing of novel small molecule compounds for use as ice recrystallization inhibitors in cell and tissue cryopreservation. In my spare time you can find me outdoors hiking, biking, or paddling!

Claudia Natola

Vice President

I’m a 4th-year PhD student in the Boddy Lab. I am passionate about organic synthesis and my thesis topic is on the total synthesis of a novel fungal PKS-NRPS hybrid natural product! In my free time I love to be out and about... playing volleyball on a beach, going on runs along the canal or grabbing drinks and chit chatting on a patio!

I am a first-year masters student in the Fogg Lab. My research is focused on catalyst design and its localization in algae cells. When I am not at the lab, I am volunteering, spending time with friends and family, or taking a nap.

I'm a first year masters student in the Hemmer Lab. My research focuses on the surface modification of lanthanide-doped nanoparticles for biological applications. Beyond the lab I like playing sports (soccer, volleyball), reading and drawing! Feel free to say hi if you spot me in the halls of D'Iorio :)
